Power Plant Facts
The Power Plant is the leading non-collecting contemporary art institute
within Canada. It is devoted solely to the exhibition and interpretation
of contemporary art in a variety of media, including sculpture, painting,
photography and new media.
With a commitment to the work of Toronto artists, the overall programme
includes the presentation of contemporary visual art from across the
country as well as solo, survey and group exhibitions by international
artists.

The Power Plant is located at Harbourfront Centre, south of the Gardiner
Expressway, between Spadina Avenue and York Street, on the shore of Lake
Ontario. It is easily recognized by its smokestack. Parking is available.
To arrive by TTC, simply take the Harbourfront streetcar (LRT) from Union
Station to Harbourfront Centre -- the second above-ground stop is directly
in front of The Power Plant/du Maurier Theatre Centre building.
Gallery Hours
Tuesday to Sunday: noon to 6pm; Wednesdays: noon to 8pm;
Closed on Mondays. Open on holiday Mondays.

Admission
Admission to The Power Plant is $4 for adults, $2 for students and seniors.
Children 12 and under free. Members of The Power Plant are admitted free
of charge. On Wednesday evenings between 5pm and 8pm admission is free to
the public.

Tours & Educational Resources
Exhibition tours are conducted by gallery attendants/animateurs on
Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 and 4pm.
Video-taped interviews with the artists and curator(s) run continuously in
the Canadian Tire Education Centre on the main floor of the gallery.
